Releasing Nemo

In late last year, the local administrative Government of the Krabi had commissioned a breeding program in awareness to the declining number of fish species in the southern region of Thailand. A personal request was forwarded to a large number of willing participants to help release our dear little friends back to where they belong in order to rejuvenate one of the treasures we regard is special to the Andaman sea region.

Phi Phi Island Village Beach Resort & Spa and other Dive operators in Thailand had been chosen to transfer this program into action. On 4th and 14th February 2008, Management and our Dive team of staff had gathered together with some of our dear guests who become interested in joining us in our srecial program to release 150 clownfish (Nemo) and 500 Damselfish.

This is going to be a continual program on our part to help contribute toward saving an underwater ecological habitat and species for many future generations to come.

Our future plans for the environment is also to partake in reef rehabilitation by artificial reef construction, cleaning, and of course as a membership of Green Fins is to maintain vigilance of a biodiversity we all wish to protect.

On behalf of Nemo and Damsel, safe adventures in visiting our colorful world.
